More DIY stuff to share- this time beauty related. I’ve always been prey to face masks, particularly the peel off or wash-off thick masque type.

The idea of making your own face mask at home using easily accessible ingredients/products is really exciting!
Here are a couple of face masks/body detoxes that you can easily make within the comforts of your own home, using products/ingredients that can be easily purchased, such as yogurt, banana, cucumbers, eggs, avocado, honey, milk etc.

For beginners, it's best to start with the easy peasy cleansing DIY Avocado banana face mask  from myjetonline. Steps are straightforward and you can't go wrong!

Ecobeautysecrets also shares with readers here a face mask made with lemon, yogurt and matcha green tea, that promises to brighten your skin tone and get rid of those pesky acne scars. 


Foodpluswords has an awesome recipe with step-by-step photos and instructions to guide you to make your own DIY orange moisturizing mask. Oranges are full of vitamin C goodness, so expect the mask to enhance your skin's texture, keeping it soft and radiant! 


One of my favourite style/beauty sites, Refinery29 has the honour of interviewing the ehteral beauty, Liv Tyler, to get look into her tips and secrets to her beautiful, flawless porcelain skin. Apparently it can be easily achieved with a homemade DIY detox bath. Get the dig here
